Light roast, light smoke, good notes of coffee. Nice smooth mouthfeel, more great roastiness with a light lactic flavor. Decent coffee finish with a light bitterness. Decent stout.

Pours a dark brown colour with little ruby highlights. The head is light beige coloured, frothy, creamy, has good retention and thick foamy lacing. Aromas of coffee and dark fruits (raisins, plums) at first. Medium-light bodied with a slight creamy feel. Taste of roasted malt with notes of coffee, smoke, and some light infection with a sourness that should not be there. Other than that, a nice smooth stout with good drinkability (for those who do not like theirs too heavy).

Bouteille 500ml.

A clear dark brown stout with a super thick big bubbled frothy brown head. Noted a floating film on air/liquid interface before opening bottle. In aroma, strange briney and grassy chocolate with wild yeasts, sign of infection, medicinal. In mouth, a sourish mix of coffee grinds and olive brine, a tad unpleasant, infected.

Pours black, thick consistency. Head all but dies after a meager existence. There’s an above average level of nutty bitterness on this but it’s kind of one-dimensional. Bottle

Canada: Pours a plenty nice dark brown with a whie head. Aroma is of something akin to sour milk and smoke. Taste is also similar to in most regards. Thin and unappetizing. I don’t think that this is skunked, I just think that it is bad. I don’t like to say this, but I think I would rather drink Coors.

It seems to be easy to get a stout that looks good, and this one does, with a solid head and jet-black body. The aroma, however, is dirty axle grease and cigarette butts, just all the wrong smells coming off the top of this thing. The flavour is much the same - ash. Like someone dumped an ashtray in my beer, my watery beer. I am generally a huge fan of stouts, and I’m amazed that someone has in fact made a stout that will end up in a drain pour!

This stout poured a deep black colour with a quick living, tan coloured, rocky head. To the nose there are scents of molasass, cocoa, burnt malt, vanilla and smoke. First sip was smooth and slightly watery for a stout. Flavours of smoke, cocoa, burnt malt and coffee. Finish is slightly bitter with a very faint hop flavour. Bitterness/smoke flavours lasting.

Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Notes of light roasted malt with light black chocolate are nice. Taste is a balanced mix between some roasted malt with light black chocolate notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed with good drinkability factor though doesn’t provide anything I haven’t seen before.
