6 pack from my local LCBO. Slightly malty nose, not much hops. Slight evegetal flavour and aroma. All in all for a buck a beer, it’s one of the better ones i’ve had. For a basic barebones boring lager, its decent.

In style it’s a good beer, clean and crisp, nothing off. Maltier than normal. Sk lb variety pack

Can brought to the cottage by a guest as a thank-you - I KNEW they didn’t like me. I’ll admit I am a tough person to buy a beer for if you’re not in the know like you are. Plus, Muskoka is seemingly a very apropos cottage beer. And really, with beers like Twice Mad and the now defunct Legendary Oddity Muskoka has proved that they can make a good beer. But this beer is junk. Pours golden with white head, smells of blandly hay and rough malts, and some mild syrup. And tastes like...giving up. It’s harsh malts, that ends with an astringent bitterness. As does this review.

Can at Firefly, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of grains and light corn. Flavour is clean and crisp, with corn, crackery malt and graininess. Fairly grassy and crisp. Solid but boring.

Tastes like nothing done well. But still nothing. Smells like nothing. Why bother. Go for their harvest or mad tom.

No head but plenty of carbonation, apple juice body. Aroma of skunky hops. Flavour is sour hops with lemon notes. Floral and planty, somewhat refreshing, but certainly not an attractive brew - drink it from the can.

Originally rated June 2006. This one pours a golden colour with a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly, leaving close to no lace. The carbonation is quite heavy and the nose is of cereal malt. Written 4.8% ABV on the front label. Watery and slick mouthfeel. Smooth, with hardly any bitterness. Mild-sweet malt with touches of grass in the finish and light apples in the aftertaste. A thin layer covers the brew the whole way. A bit overpriced, not the best premium lager, but nothing offensive, so would drink again if given by someone.

Canette 473ml.
