this had to be an off bottle. There is a STRONG corny grainy aroma with a little bit of caramel malts. The flavor is simply awful. This beer leaves an honest to god flavor of fresh farmers field manure. I was only able to have two sips before dumping the beer, otherwise i was going to vomit.

Bottle 34,1 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Comes as "La Prohibition". Pours amber with a slight haze and a lacing off-white head - a gusher. Slightly smoky nose, some caramel. Medium body, again caramel and a subdued smokiness. Dry finish. 250711

Bottled. A deep red beer with a light tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and a bit of bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruit, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry finish.

It poured with a modest amber body and okay head; the aroma is an attractive rousse concoction that one would not expect from these Canadian brewers. The taste is a modest smoked affair of leather and malt, but very hard on the palate. Ouch, is all which I can essentially say.

A dark brownish amber with a thin light moka head. Aroma of brown cassonade and candy sugar, with nice vinous touches, light calcium/musty notes. In mouth, a sweet caramel with herbal hops, coffee, raisins, and warming alcohol. The mouthfeel is rich and musty. Overall, another excellent B&F offering.

Bouteille 341ml.
