25cl can from their mini mix pack. It poura darkest brown to black with a sturdy deep tan. The aroma is dark roasted, earthy, umami, liquorice allsorts, malt loaf, burnt toast and coffee grounds. The taste is dry roasted malt, touch of bitterness, dark, charry, cacao nibs, coffee grounds, liquorice, umami and malt loaf with a dark, toasty finish. Average body and carbonation. Not much depth, but approachable stuff.

1 l can shared at home. Pours pitch black colour and beige head. Roasted malty-coffee nose, followed by the same notes in taste. Finishes with coffeeish bitterness. Light bodied, softly csrbonated. Not bad.

Bottiglia.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness, online. Pours a dark brown, near black, small beige head, modest retention. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, chocolate and caramel. Taste is the same, a little bit bready also, semi-sweet, light dryness and bitterness in the finish. Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Quite nice.

Historic check-in
Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Pours almost black (cola colour) with a large thick creamy beige head. Aroma is weak I’m getting no notes at all. Taste is again weak at first with no notes to detect but then some burnt bread and roasted malts kicks in on a decent enough finish. Medium body, average carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. The aroma and initial taste was disappointing but i rather like the roasty notes on the finish. This beer is growing on me the more i drink it and maybe it’s better served at room temperature and not straight out the fridge.
