Light bready malt, light fruit, sweet flavour. Semi dry, bitter finish. Pretty boring Belgian, really nothing going on

On tap at the brewery. Rebelle Quebecoises 6.5% Clear orange-amber-brown. Hints of fruit and crackery biscuit. The taste is tame but alright is looking from a red ale on the fruitier end of the spectrum.

Pours a clean amber colour with a frothy off-white head that has decent retention and nice full foamy lacing. Fruity malts aromas with a little spices. Taste is pretty close to the nose, with some fruity notes, caramel malt and spices rounding everything. Quite refreshing for such a malty beer with more body than most in this style.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted caramelish and light fruity. Phenolic, caramelish and light toasted malty. Subdued fruity and bitter to herbal. Bitter and herbal dry finish.

Aroma of malt with just a hint of hops. Clear amber body, decent head. Taste is a malty fruitiness with some saison-like elements creating a slightly vegetable finish. Mouthfeel is a little watery. Slightly intriguing, but flawed.

A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light malt with boiled vegetables notes, a bit of black pepper. In mouth, a nice clean ale with some belgian overtones, fruity esters, not bad, veering on RJ products. On tap at St-Bock, Dec. 26 2009.

Bottle: Poured a deep copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with a dry aftertaste. Taste is also a weird mix between some unrefined grainy malt with a dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. I must admit this is the first disappointment from this new brewery; this beer definitely lack direction and fall between styles.
