0.5 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before June 2021. Hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, malty, gently yeasty-spicy and fruity-floral aroma of banana, bubblegum, honey, pear and peach. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity-floral, gently yeasty-spicy taste of banana, pear, light bubblegum, lemon peel, peach and a touch of honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently yeasty-spicy and a little grassy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nicely hoppy Weizen, well-balanced and not over-hopped.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque with a lacing, white head - looks like a hazy IPA! Nose is banana and vanilla - kinda sweet. Mouthfeel is very creamy, yeast notes but very smooth, pleasant carbonation and the banana accents makes this almost comparable to a smooth milkshake. Some slight, late bitterness, but other than that I wouldn't call it a Hopfenweizen. 011020

Bottle, danke Gregor! Cloudy yellow, offwhite lace, dry mineral, yeast nose, light necrotic, medium full body, cheesecake with ash, light orange peel, wheat and cake finish, light citruspeel retronasal.

Bottle from Geers. Pours hazy orange with a stable, small, white head. Aroma of ripe banana, orange peel, apricot, yellow apple, honey, dough, clove, pepper. Taste has sweet banana, orange & apple, honeyish-doughy malty undercurrent, some sour wheat & spicy bitterness. Floral hoppy finish, lingering banana esters & orange peel next to wheat & peppery spices. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Great balance of styles, well done.

Bottle from Geers. Hazy blond/amber colour with creamy white foam. Nose of banana, some citrus, some exotic hops. Taste is medium sweet, light tart and yeasty. Nice and well balanced Hopfenweizen.

Stark bananiger Beginn. Banane und Nelke im Antrunk, erhöhte Karbonisierung, süffig. Glücklicherweise nur wenig süß, die Bananigkeit nimmt ab. Hopfen ist zu vernachlässigen, auch wenn der Name etwas anderes sagt. 9/8/7/8/9/7

Bottle @ Brüdermühle, Bamberg. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are rich bitter hops, wheat malt, flowers, yeast and has a nice hoppy finish.

Pretty cloudy yellow to orange beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: a bit off, slightly infected, floral, fruity, yeasty, cloves, bubble gum, banana. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: banana, yeast, bubble gum, banana, very gentle bitterness, chicken meat, quite some cloves. Aftertaste: banana ice cream, bit sweet, hint of vanilla, some cloves.
