Bottle @ Steve_0’s palace, courtesy of Armin. Thanks! A bit hazy, yellow, a touch orangish appearance with a white head. Fairly funky, cheesy nose. Cobwebs. A bit acetic. Sort of tastes like a Chow Mein / bready flavor. Lemony. Lightly sour. Really not a fan.

Bottle at home, from Etre Gourmet, 10.6% 2012 vintage, 22/01/14. Hazed orange with a good sized white head. Nose is dank wood, bitter orange, tarte lemon rind, hint of smoke, dank notes, light metallic rinse. Taste comprises light booze, bitter orange, lemon rind, tarte fruit skins, dank notes, musty wood, citric tinged straw, mature apples. Medium bodied, soft carbonation - well pitched, drying closure laced with booze and filled with tarte and sour fruit skins. Interesting sour/wild, the booze is evident at times, but not 10.6% evident however not a huge amount of complexity to go with the ABV. I’d take this one again though!

This is a 2012 bottle acquired in Belgium allowed to sit upright for almost a year in my cellar.

A - Gorgeous golden honey, light 1 finger creamy head. Bubbles remind me of a gueuze. very champagne like qualities.

S - The smell is good. Smells like a lemon lime yogurt jonge lambic with a bright citrus earthy aroma and minor barnyard funk.

T - Damn...it tastes pretty bad. Acidic, vinegar, sour apples, old moldy berries, dactyl and banana runt candies with cloves and a dry finish. Darnit, this is just downright terrible.

M - Dry and funky

O - The smell was so nice. I can’t give this more than a 2 for taste

I liked it, but I expected more from it. The tripel part of the beer pas too dominant, I would have liked the beer to be more sour and intense.

375 ml corked green bottle, vintage 2007, shared with my son Steinar, at Amundsen, Oslo. ABV was 10.5%. First glass poured clear orange, second glass very cloudy with yeast. No carbonation. Intense aroma of farmhouse, horse stable and white wine vinegar. Fairly bitter and dry flavour for a lambic, sour but not extreme.
