0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in November 2024. Slightly hazy, amber with a thin, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, quite smoky, gently boozy and a little yeasty-spicy aroma of honey, bacon, vanilla and some whisky. Gently sweet, malty, rather smoky taste of honey, lots of bacon, whisky, vanilla and oak, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, minimally yeasty-spicy, fairly smoky, slightly woody-dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty Strong Ale, actually hardly recognizable as a Tripel but nicely saturating and complex.

Almost clear gold beer, small and short lived off white head. Palate is light and fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet dry malts, a thin dry creamy sweetness. Pleasing melange of dried fruits with a trace of something tropical in there. The smoked element is very light to me and I would think easily over looked. More pleasant fruitiness on the light and fairly dry finish. The barrelling must be contributing to the fruitiness here but what is the barrel? Bourbon at a guess. None of that dry hot spice that normally plagues triples. Yeah, goes down easy.

Bottle. Golden orange pour. Aroma of meaty smoked malt, bacon, orange zest, caramel and figs. Taste of smooth smoked malt, figs, caramel, vanilla, soft cinnamon, white grape, juniper and orange zest. Aroma is a lot smokier than the flavor. Now this is creative, interesting and very tasty. Good stuff.

Bottle. Golden color. Smoke, vanilla, oak in the aroma. Malty sweetish, bready smoky flavor. Tobacco, vanilla, oak, cedarwood. Very interesting.
