Bottle as Edinburgh Castle. A mid amber coloured pour with a lasting greyish white head. Aroma is toffee, twiggy malts, mild jam fruits, toasted malts. Flavour is composed of nutty twiggy malts, medium toffee, thin, chalky finish. Palate is thin, sugar water, chalky, highish carbonation. Meh.

Quite smoky, easily the dominant aroma and flavour. Good, full bodies malt flavour. Low carbonation. Had at St Christophers inn London. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
