Copper-colored with a whiteish head that get thinned but which leaves some laces. Aroma of hops, mixed in excellent balance with chocolade, caramel and malt. Taste of burnt malt. Dry. smooth body. Maybe there is a hint of the taste of dust in it? The bitterness becomes more noticeable in the aftertaste. Bottle.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal, Stavanger. Amber to brown colour, large off-white head. Moderate malty aroma, slightly sourish. Flavour is also moderately malty with low bitterness, fairly dry. Mouthfeel is "dusty" and slightly sourish, not very rich. Drinkable, but better cask conditioned.

Can: Poured a deep amber color ale with a foamy slightly off-white head with good retention. Aroma of sweet malt is really enjoyable. Good caramel malt presence is also easily noticeable and very enjoyable. Subtle bitter hops closing are also nice. Tasted more like a Scottish ale but then I’m no expert with the English style of beer.

Lightly hazed dirty reddish amber ale with a t hick collapsing off white head. Pleasantly hopped bitter aroma, herbal and fragrant, with light nuttyness. Good malt in mouth, with discreet British hops, sustained in mouth. In style. Medium bodied. Can from LCBO.

This ale pours a nice dark orange with a frothy off white head. Sweet to the nose with scents of ripe fruit and a light, faint smoke. First sip was more smokey with lightly roasted flavours of malt. Slightly sweet at first and the finish is slightly bitter. l hoppy flavour to the palate. Very good.

Dark golden witha short lived off-white head. Malt aroma with a hint of apple and wood. Flavour is malt and caramel, quite sweet with a reasonably dry finish. Not bad, but not remarkable either.
