Double IPA Cumulo Chaos is a colossal mango nosed double IPA on first taste, easing off into subtle notes of peaches and satsumas on the finish.

On tap at Beerd, Bristol June 2016. Hazy amber with a billowy, off-white, head. Sweet mango, floral hops, biscuity malts and a rapsing, boozy, finish. Too extreme for me.

10th April 2016
Hazy amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Smooth airy palate, decent fine carbonation. Malts bring mild tangy caramel and very thin cream. Nice rich orange and orange peel followed by jammy tangerine and touches of lemon and spice. Light semi dry finish. The jammy peely hop blend well with the caramel malts. Very drinkable and hides the abv well.

330ml Bottle - Hazy dark amber. Mango, pine, peach and sultanas in the aroma. Tangy, hoppy and fairly sweet taste with grapefruit, peach, mango and marmalade standing out.

tap at Beer Cellar Exeter. Syrupy consistency, tiny head, intensive hop aromas. Full-bodied so that some alcoholy flavours are detectable right from the start, which reduces my enjoying this. Sweet and full-bodied malty base, then with tons of fruity hops, mango, papaya, passion fruit, alos with a resinous touch. Not bad, but too much for me, also due to the omnipresence of alcoholic flavours.

Tried at the 2015 Peterborough Beer Festival. Deep golden colour with a thin white head. Rich hoppy and citrus fruity aroma. Taste a touch a sweet with a sweet finish.

On tap: resiny hop-forward nose. Very fruity hop-driven double IPA. The fruitiness is intriguing and unusual and the balance is admirable.

Keg at the Lyric, Soho, 08/05/15. Clear golden copper with an off White covering. Nose is bitter orange, caramel malt, sweet tunes, ripe melon, toasted bread. Taste comprises bitter orange, sweet licks, caramel, candied fruit peel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Masks the 10% ABV well but ultimately lacks direction and hop presence. Towards the bottom rungs of the UK DIPA ladder!
