Cask at GBBF'23, day two, 02/08/23. Golden to light amber with an off white cap that retains well. Nose is malt forwards, bready notes, stewed fruits, toffee. Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, toffee, grains, biscuit, herb. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad for a cask affair.

Bottle from local Asda. Pours a golden orange with a small dense cream head. Malts to the fore in the aroma, but also nuts and a hint of oranges. In the mouth ? Sip 1 : toffee, treacle, malts and marmalade. Sip 2 : apples and summer fruits. Finish is appreciably more bitter. A nice solid premium bitter – good for swigging.

Bottled 500ml (KCM Puuvilla)
Amber-orange colour, small off-white head. Light toasted sugar, flowery hops in the nose. Light-bodied. Very English, pale malts, some toasted sugar, UK hops. Solid although not very exciting.
50cl bottle. A clear deep golden beer with a white head. Aroma of mid sweet pale malt, gently bitter hops. Taste of mid sweet malt, grains, spicy and floral hops.

Historical tick which I am adding as a rate so that I can see the impact it has on my stats. 500 Beers To Try Before You Die. Purchased in Oulu, Finland, and drunk in the sauna. My pale lager drinking uncle was unimpressed. I was more pleased with it.
