We love our American cousins. But sometimes they can be kind of full on. So we’ve crafted this beer to more British tastes. Made with American hops, it’s still got all the punch of a pale ale. Just less shouty.

Small white head. Clear amber body with light carbonation. Dusty strawy resiny aroma with tropical fruit notes. Dry-sweet tropical fruit and resin taste with strawy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish dusty strawy tropical fruit aftertaste with resiny lemony catty notes. Very nice and drinkable. (0.284l draft at Truscott Arms, London.)

Bottle at home, from Beermerchants, 07/04/14. Pours clear golden amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is pale malt, very light soap, bitter orange, grassy, light toasty malt overcoat, metallic nip. Taste comprises caramel, toasted malt, citric notes, bread dough, light hoppage. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp clean close. Simple easy drinking thirst quencher, really lacks the hop presence for this style, more a golden blonde for me.

Keg at the brewery and straight off the tank during a brewery tour. Caramel orange coloured pour with a lasting cream head. Aromas are slightly sweet caramel and grassy lemon american hops. Flavours have biscuit and low caramel malt with veg citrus hop. Slightly grassy earth. Medium body with loeish carbonation. Decent enough

Keg tap @ Parcel Yard, Kings Cross. Amber/copper with a bit of head that doesn’t stick around. Grass, wood and tropical fruit hop aroma. Taste is bitter and slightly sulphurous. Tasty enough, but not terribly original.

Pours amber with a quickly fading head.Nose shows floral and spicy hops with soft honey and biscuity malt underneath.Lots more biscuity malt as a flavour, like a German pils. More spicy and herbal hops too followed by a refreshing bitterness.Nice moderately high carbonation.

Bottle. Pale amber with a small white head. Aroma of light bread, lemon, some soap and weeds. Sweet with a very dry, moderately bitter finish. Thinnish, low carbonation. Quite fruity with citrus, guava. Slips down on a warm night.

Bottled (ABM). Clear golden color, small steady white head. Citrus fruity, pale malty aroma. Light bodied, a bit watery. SNPA lookalike: pale malty, crisp, citrusy hoppy flavor with decent aftertaste. Could be maltier.
