Velo (that’s French for bicycle – but you knew that!) is a 4.2% ABV ‘free wheeling’ fresh pale ale brewed with cascade hops and an ever so subtle hint of orange and coriander. Developed at our very own microbrewery before being promoted to our main plant due to unprecedented demand, Velo will ride on the back of Le Grand Party on 5th July – the biggest party our home in Masham has ever seen!

Bottle, 0.50l. Pours hazy orange color with thin creamy off-white head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of citrus, coriander and biscuit malt. Tastes refreshing grassy, herbal, a bit sour, fruity and mild spicy. Light to medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Good cycling partner...

Bottle that Dad shared- cheers! Deep gold with a light fizz and a thin white head. Decent rich mouthfeel by supermarket brew standards. Straw up front then ground coriander and a little orange. Sulphurous note in the finish knocked the score down a notch but still ok.

500ml bottle. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a long lasting frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, tropical fruit. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light crisp fruity woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Pours almost clear amber color, topped with a medium small off-white head. Dusty nose with mild fruity notes - apple and some citruses in the mix. Mildly malty sweet with metallic aftertaste. Spicy finish. Not the best attempt.
