Named for and inspired by the founder of one of our favourite Independent record labels – 4AD. Also the namesake of the opening track from 4AD band Cocteau Twins' third album Treasure! Lovely golden colour with mango, pineapple & guava on the nose & the palate. Intensely hoppy, with oats for a smooth mouthfeel, & a dry bitter finish. Best enjoyed fresh.

330ml bottle at Honest Burgers restaurant in London, England. It pours a crystal clear pale gold color with a white head and great retention. Very hoppy aroma. This has more hoppy flavor than bitter, which isn't my scene. Definitely an American hoppy style versus a British pale ale. It's a medium body. Medium carbonation and medium bitterness. Not my favorite beer. At least it's cold. A little too hoppy for me.

Keg, third of a pint, 7th February 2025, The Boot Micropub, Wellington, Shropshire (in a flight of three). Mini hazed golden body, white crust on top. Citrussy front to the nose and taste, leaning towards sweet rather than tart.

Bottle on 26th December 2021 from Earth Natural Foods, London. Pours hazy amber with plenty of loose, off-white foam and scant lacing. Citrus and caramel aroma. Leafy hops, citrus peel and maltiness in-mouth, and a grassy, bitter finish. Zingy mouthfeel and a medium body.

Tap at R&G’s Beer Vault, Macclesfield (not yet listed in RateBeer). Advertised as 4.5%, but I have no evidence to support thid. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mainly citrus with hints of tangerine. In the mouth there is sharp fruitiness with lemon and melon, contrasting with sweet malts of grain and some hints of ginger. All leading to a rather bitter finish. Quite nice, but not really my sort of beer.
