This golden ale has been brewed again especially
for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival. Citrus and tart fruit flavours combine with light biscuit malt and
spicy hop notes, resulting in a pleasing zesty finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2017. Amber in colour, with a small, off-white, head. Ripe orange fruits, sweetish malts, caramel and a touch of citrus hop, before a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw . A clear mid golden coloured pour with a a loose white head. Aroma is subdued pale cereal grains, biscuit, spicy hedgerow hop. Palate is slightly grainy, decent cask condition. Flavour is composed of boring nutty twiggy malts, spicy grassy hop, hedgerow hop. Boring.

Cask at the George, Croydon. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The aroma is floral, citrus, air freshner, varnish, pissy notes and biscuit. The taste is dry, bitter, lemon peel, zesty action, waxy, soapy, floral, pepper, tannin and biscuit with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Too soapy for my liking. Fair at best.
