Thin off white head left a cover on a hazy sandy coloured still body. Aroma of honey sugar & herbs. Medium bodied, sticky on the palate with minimal carbonation & a cloying aft. Herbal, medicinal tastes with honey, spices, cardamom & a peppery finish.

330ml bottle from Beer52.com. Stated ABV 6.4%. A dark straw coloured pour with a ring of white head; light farmyard aroma; sharp gooseberry taste, with a sharp tart bitterness tempered by some honey; then a dry finish with some warmth and heather. Takes a bit of getting used to, but actually quite drinkable.

330ml bottle from Appleyards of Shrewsbury: BBE of Jan 16. Poured into a Chimay badged chalice at home on 12th Aug 15. Light orange body, misty with a thin white head. Orange and herbal nose with a yeasty undertone. The taste follows the aroma with orange, herbal and floral traces blending with the yeast: farm yard like feel to the whole brew, leaning towards sour but not actually taking the plunge, Saison style from Scotland, now there is a oddity. Decent and different from Williams Bros.
