This spontaneous fermented beer has been aged in Hungarian oak barrels and appears with a light amber color with almost no head.
The aroma is huge and very vinous. A clear impression of oxidized apples is the first thing that hits you, which made us think of heavy old fashioned British apple ciders. The aroma also reveals the wooden notes from the barrels along with some burned toffee and spices like Star anise.
It has a very heavy acidic profile at first, one that quickly slides into a smooth kind of sweetness. We taste green apples, carambola and very young green grapes. It has a certain lactic acidic touch and a creamy dry finish that lasts forever and bares the green impressions through.
Some mild creamy blue cheese on roasted rye bread would work great due to both the lactic and acidity impressions in this beer.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small, white head. Aromas is smooth classic gueuze, dry, sour grapes, green apples, some leather, oaky barrel character and some lactic acidity. Taste is crispy, dry, tart, green apples, lactic, grapes, pear, brett, oaky barrel characters and a sweeter finish with some tannin-like notes. Low carb and crispy body! Very nice!

2014 CnC. It's like a sweet and less sour version of lambic. It's corky and lightly Brett. But again it's like a light sweet but not sugary lambic.

Botella 37. 5 cl en Valladolid 03..12..2017. (r244). Lote y fcpref sin copiar. Color ámbar tostado marrón turbio con poca espuma beige. Sabores frescos con toques ácidos y herbaceos bien combinados con notas de vinos blancos y maderas. Ligeras especias. Cuerpo medio similar a vinos con cierta densidad. Bastante buena, para repetir sin duda.

Vintage 2014. Half champagne bottle.

Bottle at home. 2014 vintage. Has a slightly hazy orange amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of apple cider vinegar, tea, spices, apricots, rowan berries, oak, forest floor and barn yard. Sour flavor of vinegar, lime and barn yard but the ending is sweeter with apricots and sugared tea. Has slick and sparkly mouth feel, medium bodied, and light bitterness. A both acidic and sweet gueuze. Well-balanced.

Dumpfer Geruch. Trockener, mild säuerlicher Antrunk. Geringe Würzigkeit, dann holziger etwas dumpf bleibend, der Tiefgang fehlt. Süffig und nett aber zu. 10/11/10/11/11/11
