Mark Szmaida has travelled to Banks’s Brewery in the West Midlands to brew this golden-amber beer for us. The hops used provide pine & citrus notes in the aroma and flavour, giving a gentle bitterness that is balanced by a dry malt finish.

Cask at the Pump House, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a clear medium brown with a frothy white head and lots of clingy lace. The aroma is woody hop, some malt. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a dry light spicy, woody, light resin hop bitter, light malt palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Amber color, good creamy beige head. Lots of citrus and grapefruit in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Pale malty with hints of pils and cara, grapefruity hoppyness. Nicely sessionable ale.

Cask @ Hedley Verity, Leeds. Deep clear golden with a creamy head. Has a strength, but it’s fruity pale ale texture is nevertheless well stated, and the ale is full-bodied.

Hand-pulled pint in a Birmingham Wetherspoons on 30th June 2016. Amber pour, with a white, lasting head. Decent enough brew with a tropical fruit feel to it, leaning towards citrus flavours as it warmed a little. Started semi-sweet and slowly got more bitter as I got into it more.
