clear dark brown, smooth light brown head. sweet nutty and dark caramelly aroma. faint chocolate cake flavor is nutty, bitter nutty, faint sweet caramel, dry nearly tasteless euro hops, faint metal. A very nutty brew, sort of like a dry nutty brown ale. when you get used to it it is in fact fairly tasty.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark red amber colour. MOderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter nice roasted flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. More roast than caramel.

Bottle, 4.4%. Clear dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, bread and chocolate. Flavour is roasted malt, caramel, little bread, little chocolate, liquorice, medium sweet and a little bitter.

500ml bottle. Poured a clear medium brown white a frothy off white head. The aroma is light roasted malts, red berry fruit. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry sweet roast, fruity, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Aus der Flasche im 2017-10 getrunken. Feinporige Schaumkrone, die schnell in sich zusmmenfällt. Ein recht leichtes, süffiges, dunkles Bier was sanfte Malzaromen hat. Dazu wird das Ale durch eine sanfte Fruchtsäure ähnlich eines ESB abgerundet. Allerdings typisch für ein britisches Ale ist der schwache Körper, der kaum Aromen transportieren kann.

(Bottle) Pours very black with big beige head. Pleasant aroma - stewed apples with hints of toffee and ash. Medium body, rather fizzy. Taste starts with dark toffee with some apple and candy notes. This thins out to a rather ashy, slightly metallic bitterness. Quite drinkable, but not great.
