A quaffable American lager with a hint of European flavor. Pfeifferhorn lager has a subtle malt flavor, and clean, crisp finish. A fine spicy and slightly herbal noble hop profile which barely lingers on the palette.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent gold with a slight white head. Aroma is bready with underlying spice. Med body, almost. Flavor is bready with herb, grass and spice. The flavors are not individually strong, but they ad up to something. It’s rather delicate, and to me suggests a strongly hopped (all thing are relative) kolsch. Finish is bready/grassy.

Draught. Grassy aroma very pilsnery. Full flavour malt with a lot of hop and a crisp finish. This is very much like a German pils.

Sample at the House Wine EPIC beer tasting on 04/18/2012: The beer pours a clear yellow-gold color with a medium thick white head that evaporates slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. The aroma is mildly hoppy with some sweet malt in the background. Light body with flavors of mildly bitter grassy hops, grainy malt and a touch of fruit. The finish is slightly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle thanks to billshmeinke. Pours with a clear golden yellow hue with a lasting white head. Aromas are nicely malty, bready, sort of a pils character, grassy and herbal hops. A touch of sulfur but otherwise clean yeast character. Light hoppy fruitiness. Flavors are bready, medium bitter, herbal and spicy. Malty. Lingering spicy hop. Clean and crisp. Solid lager!

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear golden color with a thin creamy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of pale bready malts and grassy hops. The taste is pale malts, grassy and herbal hops and a faint bit of stone fruits, notable pear and plum. Medium bodied. Decent lager.

Courtesy of douglas88. Bomber pours clear gold with full off white head. The aroma is floral hops, spicy hops, grainy and sweet lager-y-ness. The taste is similar with plenty of spicy hops to go along with some floral hops, grainy malts and sweet lager-y yeasty notes. The sweet notes try to pile up into the finish but the noble hop bill fight it off nicely. Interesting brew.
