Beast is a full-bodied dark porter. It’s dark mahogany-brown in colour, with a hint of crimson. Rich aromas of toffee, treacle, Mocha coffee, vinous fruit, and chocolate. There’s more complexity on the palate with fruitcake, a hint of rum, more Mocha coffee, herbal hoppiness, vinous fruit, and a bittersweet finish that’s smooth yet complex, rich but not cloying.
Hops: Goldings, Challenger and First Gold. Brewed with a mix of pale ale, chocolate and crystal malts.

Gravity cask at the Wandsworth Common Halloween Beer Festival - Le Gothique, London. Pours clear, deep brown with a creamy, beige head. The aroma has tangy, semi-dark fruits and lightly toasted bread. Medium sweet flavor with some toffee, figs, bread, brown sugar, raisins. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth in the finish with sticky toasted sugars, semi-dark fruits, berries. Very tasty. Nice.

Heavy, although not quite as heavy as you expect for this percentage. Slight treacleness about it.
