NULL SPASSBREMSE. Nehmen Sie einfach den Schlitten.

Bottled (BB 05/2006)
Amber color, small off-white head. Caramelly, grassy hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied, malty, grassy hops in the finish. Typical "festbier" flavor.

Bottle: Dark golden to light amber coloured; thin foamy layer, sticking to the glass; very limited aroma: malts, caramel and honey with a tinge of cardboard; slightly sweetish flavour, maybe a bit sourish, too; a little bitterness in the light grainy finish; not unpleasant, but a bit bland................

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful deep amber with a rich, creamy head. Malty and full-bodied with notes of caramel. Very delicious and very good value for money. 180301

(bottle) Clear amber colour with a foamy slightly tanned big head with nice lace. Slightly tasted malts aroma with dough. Medium sweet flavour, toastmalty taste with caramel and a moderate dry and slightly bitter finish. Quite ok.

Bottle. Aroma has a hint of fruity hops. Copper colour with a hint of grey. Unstable white head. Nice fruity hoppiness, reminding me of an English bitter. Aftertaste is bitter, but quite yeasty and not entirely pleasant. Unfortunately reminding me a little too much of Juletuborg.

Bottle. The merest hint of malt aroma. Tan clear color with small head. Initial barley taste with balance malt and hops. Fairly weak for the style.

Re-rate from bottle. lets see if it improved in the last 12 years: Light herbal and metallic hops in a slightly papery caramel roast. Still nice amber color, very unstable head. Thin tinny roast start, light roast caramel, quick finish, light sticky aftertaste. Still no epiphany, but had worse. Old Rating 4 4 6 3 11 Neutral nose, some roasted notes and soapy dusty hops. Rusty amber coloring, big creamy white head with lace, not very stable though. Caramel malt base, some roasted nutty notes, not unpleasant - the balance to he hops is not entirely harmonic though. Medium body, fizzing mouthfeel, ok bitterhop exit. In general better than I expected, at least its not an instant drainpour like so many other Oettinger brews.
