330ml panda from LCB. Dark brown pour with thin head. Aroma of toffee, roasted malt, nuts, slight fruitiness. Good body to this for the style. Toffee, nuts and roast come through well with some chocolate wafer. Has a building sweetness which makes it quite rich. Still a good mild though.

Can 44cl. @home poured into a pint glass. Clear deep amberbrown colour, good frothy beige head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma roasted malts, caramel, nutty notes, dried dark fruits, light chocolate. Taste medium sweet and mild bitter, roasted malts, caramel, dark fruits, light chocolate and nuts, nice fruity undertone. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, sroasty sweetbitter aftertaste, lingering chocolate and coffee, earthy notes, well-made, tasty and solid mild, really good.

Half-pint, draught, shared with Finn at Boxcar Brewery & Taproom. Stable off-white head, coal black body, rings of lace down the glass. Bread-like malts on the nose, mid-sweet and moderately roasted. Blended taste character of raisin, prunes, and a backdrop of chocolate-coffee. Roasted ending, short-lived. Pleasing. (Bethnal Green, london 09.02.2023).
