At Pressure Drop, we aways have a blast brewing with yuzu. Our now-retired sour IPA, Nanban Kanpai, was all about the yuzu and we have missed its delicious citrus flavours. With this in mind, and taking inspiration from Espadrille, our first triple fruited sour, we decided to take things up a notch with Promenade.

Mega layers of flavour, as yuzu, apricot mingle with vanilla and smooth smooth milk sugar, all with a small sharp kick of sea salt to finish. It’s a smoothie sour party, and it’s a whole lot of fun.

This super pretty label is a photo taken by Our Sienna in sunny Portugal. Blue skies, a splash of pink, who could want more?

Can at home picked up from the experiment. A translucent golden coloured pour with a lasting white froth. Aroma is nice floral citrus, potperrie, yuzu, milky sweet, pithy citrus. Flavour is composed of custard creamsicle, pithy citrus, peach, yuzu, peach melba, pinch of salt. Palate is semi sweet, tart, spicy, highish carbonation. This beer is a lot of fun.

Keg at The Experiment, Hackney, London. A hazy golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sour, fruity, citrus, vanilla, peach aroma and taste. Not really my style of beer but perfectly drinkable.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry and has a good fine minerally crispness. Instantly pleasing savoury tart Gose vibe we’ll attuned with tart Yuzu and apricot. The milk sugar evokes as a sweetish creamy sweetness. Savoury Yuzu mandarin lime finish, again rounded off by the light sweetness. Digging these Gose’s just now.

Draft. An unclear golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes peaches, vanilla, and wheat. The flavor is sour with notes of lemons, vanilla, peaches, and wheat, leading to a tart finish. A bit too much vanilla for my liking.

440ml can. Murky golden orange, white head. Aroma of apricots, yuzu, vanilla. Taste is very soft, smooth and fruity, apricots, sharp yuzu, sweet vanilla, a little salt in the finish. Medium body. Really well balanced sweet and sour gose.
