Das Ausschütteln der reichlich vorhanden und wie magnetisch am Flaschenboden haftenden Hefe und artet in echter Arbeit aus. Mein lange als geheilt geglaubtes Karpaltunnelsyndrom meldet sich plötzlich wieder. Aber für so eine tolle Trübung ist das der Preis, den man bezahlen muss. Die Farbe des Biers ist tiefdunkelorange bis bernsteinfarben. Viel, sehr cremig, fluffiger Schaum - der auch lange hält. Toller, sehr aromatischer Geruch nach Früchten, Malz und Likör. Beim Trinken, hat man gekochte, vergorene und frische Früchte (in der Reihenfolge), Hefe und Likör. Das Malz kommt nach dem 2 - 3 Schluck auch schön raus. Ein bitterer Geschmack bleibt lang an Lippen und Gaumen haften. Das Bier hat 7,0 % Alk - von der Schwere könnte es aber auch ein Doppelbock mit 8,0 % sein. Schön weich, eher wenig Kohlensäure. Ich lehne mich mal aus dem Fenster und sage - wenn man über die Top-10 der besten Weizenböcke in Deutschland spricht, müsste eigentlich irgendwann auch der Name „Karg“ fallen. Die Brauerei weiß wirklich wie man tolle Weißbiere braut und auch der Weizenbock überzeugt hier voll.

Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Pours a hazy muddy orange colour with a huge thick foamy off white head. Aromas of bananas, pears, cloves, candy floss and some peppery spice. Taste has more of the same notes detected in the aroma with added ripe notes of stoney fruits and a touch of warming alcohol. Full body, low carbonation on the palate and very smooth mouthfeel. This is superb for the style. Up there with the best Weizen Bock i have tried so far. As Arnie says “i will be back!”.

Bottle, online from Raynvill Superstore. Pours opaque pale orange amber with a foamy cream cap. Aroma: wheat, yeast, toffee, light herbal. Taste moderate sweet & light bitter, spice, clove, banana esters. Medium body with foamy carbonation.

Bottle from Great Grog. Hazy amber body with a thick off-white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of rust, cloves and stewed apple. Flavour of marmalade, banana, caramel and straw. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Light fizz. A delicious, rustic beer.

Bottle at home, 17th September 23, pre flight to Oktoberfest 23. Pours a dark caramel colour, big head. Aroma malts, yeast, spice and banana. Taste is refreshing, spice, lots of banana, clove and yeast, nice drinking

27/12/2020. Bottle shared virtually at the post-Christmas Tears For Tier 4 bottle share. From Idiosynkrasie, cheers Boris. Pours cloudy dull amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of toffee, banoffee pie, wheat, citrus, touch of herb and bubble-gum. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 10C). Bottle 50 cl - Batch 001330 (BBF 01.03.21). AROMA: medium-high clove, slight banana, faint vanilla, medium malty-strong with an overall low alcoholic background. APPEARANCE: orange-ish body and just slightly hazy. medium-low off-white head with medium-low retention. TASTE: medium to medium-high wheat, low clove, faint banana and slight bubble-gum. medium to medium-low bitterness with a dry finish. no hop detected. MOUTHFEEL: medium body with medium carbonation. slight alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a nice pale weizenbock.
