An authentic lager brewed using the finest specialist German malt and yeast. The key to its delicate clean taste is a cold fermentation and a long, slow maturation which allows the subtle flavours to slowly develop. Continental hops add a light floral element and gentle bitterness, helping to create an extremely crisp, refreshing and drinkable character.

330ml bottle from the brewery. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is lager yeast, malt, light gluey, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, malt, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle picked up from the brewery. A clear pale gold with a tidy fading white cap. Aroma is green cereal grains, grassy, germinating barley, earthy, background honey notes. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, thin cereal grains, hints of honey, green malts, leafy grassy hop. Pretty decent, Palate is semi sweet, little thin, eater, moderate carbonation. Good stuff.

Keg from the brewer's own bar at Feast on the Farm, Peterley Manor Farm, Great Missenden. Deep gold with a white head and a middling fizz. Light grass and citrus. Clean and crisp. Pleasant but the flavours are a tad too restrained; it just needs a bit more oomph all round.
