Bottle at the Vanilla Pod, Marlow served in a bizarre glass shaped like half of a tusk. Golden-amber with a white head. Bitterness is a bit heavy-handed from the off. There's a slight chalkiness in the otherwise nicely full mouthfeel. The pine and melon flavour is somewhat lost in the bitterness. It is at least crisp and clean - but yeah, average at best.

Bottle from Hive, Crowthorne. Aroma is primarily malty (twig pusher brewery) with with some pine and an eggy streak. Amber. Frothy translucent white head. Light bitter. A touch of sourness. Malty. Boiled veg. Spice. Light. Slick if thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Basic stuff.

500ml bottle from the brewery. Poured a clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, buttery, yeasty, juicy tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a fresh, crisp, fruity, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Thin white head left a cover on hazy, light brown body. Caramel, dark fruits & sugar. Pretty poor.

Appearance is amber with golden tinges, a small fizzy beige head. Aroma- caramel, fruity hops, tropical fruit, hints of straw and grass. Taste- bitter hops, smooth malt, quite a bitter punchy finish, orange and grapefruit, a bit juicy, clingy finish, some fruit on the end. Nice and full in the mouth.

50cl bottle from the brewery shop, at 5% ABV. An attractive golden amber pour with a thick creamy head; some spicy hops on the aroma; oily in the mouth with a bittersweet grainy taste; and a spicy bitterness to finish. Rather good.
