Der Bourbon Barrel Bock ist ein Bockbier-Cuvée mit einer feinen Whiskey-Note und Green Bullet Kalthopfung. Handgebraut und drei Monate gereift in Bourbon-, Rum- und Tequilafässern, wodurch der Bock sein einzigartiges Aroma erhält. Sein gold-cremiger Farbton deutet auf den ebenso samtig weichen Antrunk mit einem Bourbon-Anklang. Anschließend entfaltet sich die volle Süße mit Vanille- und Karamell-Aromen. Der Abgang gestaltet sich würzig mit einer trockenen Bittere, hier kommt die Holzfasslagerung erneut zur Geltung.

Pours amber and somewhat flat looking into the glass. Very little head. Aroma is of oak and bourbon, but with an apple cider fruitiness. Taste is buttery, with noticeable strands of vanilla and rum, and just a hint of smokiness underlying it all. Carbonation is soft. Body is medium, slightly viscuous, and each sip ends with a warm, long, and lightly bitter finish. Intriguing. This has a very high drinkability ... wish I had another bottle of this. A very good bock.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Welde Bourbon Barrel Bock ].[ Trade by Beerhunter111 ]. Clear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, caramel, sweet malt, wood - vanilla - bourbon. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, rum - sugar sweet, vanilla, malty, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20151024]

Bottle, 6.6%. Clear amber with medium creamy off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, vanilla and oak. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, vanilla, sweet, oak, vanilla, hop and a little bitter.

0,33 l bottle, bought at a local bottle shop. Nearly clear copper in the glass, small head. Whiskey with sourness on the nose. Starts a little bit boozy, then more malty parts with barrel background. Middle part with some sweetness. Also some bitter hop parts in the finish. Expected a little bit more complex and oily stuff. But not bad at all.
