Der Bourbon Barrel Bock ist ein Bockbier-Cuvée mit einer feinen Whiskey-Note und Green Bullet Kalthopfung. Handgebraut und drei Monate gereift in Bourbon-, Rum- und Tequilafässern, wodurch der Bock sein einzigartiges Aroma erhält. Sein gold-cremiger Farbton deutet auf den ebenso samtig weichen Antrunk mit einem Bourbon-Anklang. Anschließend entfaltet sich die volle Süße mit Vanille- und Karamell-Aromen. Der Abgang gestaltet sich würzig mit einer trockenen Bittere, hier kommt die Holzfasslagerung erneut zur Geltung.

Bottle in Heidelberg. Pours a clear, deep orange with an airy head. Aroma is wood, light whiskey, honey malts, some vanilla. Whiskey comes out strongly in the flavor, vanilla bourbon, honey, bread, biscuits. Interesting use of the barrel. Kind of like this. Snappy, bitter finish makes it stop from being cloying. There are also some peach notes, like peaches and cream. Good German innovation.

Bottle recieved with Euro Swap 2 2018 from Bartlebier, many thanks! Shared with Inoven. The beer has got a an orange colour and a medium white head. It has a nice oak and bourbon smell. The taste is full, bourbon and vanilla.

Rocky white head stayed on a very hazy dark amber body. Malt, caramel, wood & rum aroma. Medium to full bodied, thick & very cloying on the palate with a soft finish. Strong tastes of rum with malt, sugar, berry, grape & citrus with a long fruity finish. *Very unusual but it works

33 cl bottle @ home. BBE 18.07.2018. Aroma is sweet and malty with strong bourbon tones and harsh maltiness. Flavour has sweet malt, some bourbon vibes and caramel. For once a bourbon bock where all is balanced and sticky bourbon tones do not override everything but add nice vibes to bock character. Not sweet, not too dry and not sticky. Just right.

Great to see German brewers doing something different with their more refined styles. Rum and tequila are well integrated here, with the latter more evident than the former. Pours golden with decent head and lacing. Light booze but balance is good. A litte of that heller type of mercury metallic vibe like Queen songs. Bottle from Drink Drunk in Berlin drank while screwing around in (one of) the cities that never sleeps.

Bottle, 6.6%. Papery aroma. Clear copper colour. Small stable white head. The flavour has a distinct vanilla touch, but does not get too much. Not sweet either. The bitterness is assertive, bordering on rough, but does not get too much and balances off the vanilla quite well.

Bottle. Pours nearly clear amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with some farty notes and touches of barrel. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt and yeast and notes of barrel. Lingering, hoppy and malty afteraste. Not bad for the style.

Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of JFK10000. Shared with him and Max. Pours orange with medium white head. Malty, grainy, not really getting bourbon. Oak, some acidity. Sweet. Bit boozy. Medium bodied. Weird.
