This hop monster uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. Now dry hopped with Mosaic for great aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Triple IPA.

Bottle, 22oz. A slightly unclear beer, dark orange beer with a small, off-white head. Fruity nose with loads of pine cones, lemon peel and resins. A bit sugary maybe. Malty sweet base that should be more evident. Resins, fruits, lemon peel and fruityness too. Full-bodied and nicely bitter. Lasting finish. A wonderful beer, but it’s sort of one-tracked. Too warming too I think. But it’s nice and repeatable. 110301

Bottle 22fl.oz. @ home.ABV: 9.4%. Clear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, caramel, light heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, orange, flowers, spicy hops, spicy sweet hops. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration, sweet orange - madarin, soapy, wood - tree bitter, almost acrid bitter, spicy - peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic and sharp peppery - spicy burn. [20110228]

0.65l bottle @ Henrik, Bergen shared with ClubGonzo. Pours a semi hazy yellow/golden body with a fading just off-white bubbly head. Nice and strong DIPA aromas with a decent amount of sweet and fruity peaches, some liquorish, pines, citrus with a twist, alcohol and flower-leaves. Medium-bodied and medium carbonated. This one gives me a typical west coast DIPA mouthfeeling of sticky and tingling warming alcohol combined with heavy pines. Stingy and peppery with quite a bitter ending.

Bottle from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours clear light copper color with off white head. Lots of pine in the aroma. Flavors of pine, sweet malts and alcohol. Lots of resiny hop bitterness. Pretty boozy. Medium body with average carbonation and a syrupy mouhfeel. Thanks Craig.

bottle pours dark orange with a medium off white head. Aroma is citrus and grapefruit hop notes with light hay and grass. Flavor is rich pale malts, lots of hay and a nicely balanced hop finish. Lots of citrus in the finish, lingers for a while.

Bottle, home. Surprisingly good DIPA. This beer pours a medium amber with a smallish white head. The aroma is quite good, a mix of a variety of hop flavors - mostly floral and citric. There’s a touch of caramel malt, but this is clearly a hop ride from the outset. The flavor is pretty much all big chewy hops. I guess it’s dry, but it’s hard to taste much beyond the hops. If that’s not your cup of hop tea, then you won’t like this beer much. There was a definite paint thinner note when the beer was colder, but it fades to further hoppiness as it warmed up. Mouthfeel is a bit rough, but them’s the breaks with hop juice. Super hoppy DIPA.

Sampled at the January ’10 Metro Detroit tasting. Thanks to whoever brought this! Poured a clear light orange with a yellow tint and minimal head. Aroma was full of hops, both pine and citrus notes present. Flavor began with citrus hops, then transitioned in to a nice pine finish.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma is fruity with green grass and vegetable notes, some malt and a whiff of alcohol. Sweet malty flavour with toffee notes, some citrus hops and alcohol. If you wanna call it hop juice I prefer more hops and less sweet alcohol bomb

Bottle @ J.C.G. Pours unclear orange with a creamy lasting white head and lacings. Freshly hopped nose. Pine, orange and a bit of buiscuit. Smooth and sticky palate. Taste is very hoppy, spruce, juice and pine. Lasting bitterness. A bit boozy. Nice.
