Schwarzbier
Nefiltrirano, nepasterizirano crno lager pivo. Okusi pržene kave, tamne čokolade i tostiranog kruha proizlaze iz kombinacije specijalnih sladova. Bez tipične oštrine crnih stilova, nižeg tijela i gorčine. Babau te gleda!
Unfiltered, unpasteurised dark lager beer. Flavours of roasted coffee, dark chocolate and toasted bread derives from special malts. No harshness typical for dark styles, low in body and bitterness. Babau is watching you!

Bottle, 0.33l. Murky deep brown pour, two finger frothy beige head, long lasting. Good retention. Nose is roasted malt and grains, hints of dark fruits in the background. Light body, soft to medium carbonation. Average mouthfeel and texture, a bit watery. Goes down quite easily. Roasty bitter taste with subtle sweet notes in the background. Simple aroma, roasted malt, grains, caramel. Hints of cocoa. Slightly metallic taste in the background. Lingering bitterness, slightly unbalanced. Medium lasting finish, bitter and dry. Drinkable but a bit all over the place.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of hrabren, shared with him and Marko. Almost black coloured, minimal off-white head, caramel and whiff of smoke in the nose. Malty and sugary taste with notes of caramel and sweet finish. Not good.

0.33 l bottle from a small store in Hum, Istria. Shared with Marko and Ogi. Dark brown, small beige head. Roasty, toasty, burnt. Earth. Rubber. Phenolic. Moderately smooth, light body, soft carbonation. Caramel, burnt toast, phenols. Slightly sweet. A bit thin. Light finish. Some tartness. Needs work.

2025 rating:
Bottled, thought that being in Pula was the ideal moment to rerate it (bottle from Punta). 6.5 months old, but hey, let's give it a go. Clearish dark brown body, thick off-white head. Toasty, nutty, cocoa aroma, sweetish, light and dry. Smooth toasty, roasty taste, chocolate notes, low low tannins and tartness from the black malt I guess. This is a very decent, very classic Schwarzbier! Glad I got to raise the rating!
2020 rating:
Bottle, thanks Hrabren! Shared with him and Ogivlado. Very dark brown body, some grayish head. Slightly unclean aroma, some dark malts, nutty really, but also a meaty yeastiness. Similar taste, sweet, odd stale maltiness-yeastiness, slightly astringent in the finish, with some trace tartness that can potentially be attributed to black patent or something like that. Sadly, the first Bruman I've encountered actual problems with. 6/4/4/6/5
