Deep golden fading into light orange, moderately hazy, gets hazier on final pours. Medium sized quite frothy white head, shows good enough retention and lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: a restrained background of hay and crackery malts, a healty dose of funkiness (barnyard, perhaps a hint of leather), fresh citric notes, perhaps a bit of yeasty spiciness. Ok complexity, so-so definition. Slightly more defined in taste, but still a bit unpolished. Taste notes and intensity as per aroma. Average sourness and funkiness for a wild saison, indeed just as much as i expected. Sweetness and bitterness are both relatively low and in good balance in both taste and aftertaste. A pleasantly refreshing citric aftertaste. Overall a rather simple wild saison, pleasantly refreshing and well balanced, but could use more definition. Light to medium bodied, probably a bit lighter than i expected for the abv, with average, lively bubbled carbonation, resulting in a quite easygoing, slightly lively mouthfeel. I usually enjoy wild saisons, and i enjoyed this one too, but from an objective point of view i don't see it as more than averagely good.

75 corked bottle served in a white wine Riedel glass. A cloudy bright golden pour with a much lacing, egg-white head. Aroma is very intense, you can smell it without even pouring, as soon as you uncork the bottle: roses, apricot, dry banana, wild yiest, lemon zest, earth, candied sugar, orange rind, leather-covered books, lemon drop... Bone dry, tart and slightly fizzy, medium to low body. Dry finish, very long-lasting, with renewed hints of dry fruits and citrus. Fantastic.

A golden and quite murky beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has green apples, bretta, barnyard, also some sweeter fruitness and hint of oak. Taste has strong bretta, sourness, green apples, some citrus, quite dry and balanced body. Medium+ bodied. Refreshning. Lots of bretta, balanced and complex. Great beer.

Keg at Protokol, Berlin, 11/07/19. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is brett forward, funk, barnyard esters, tarte lemon, hay bale. Taste comprises big bretty pangs, wood must, green berry funk, hay bale, light dung. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent bretted number.

Tap at Unorthodox. Assertively bretty, assertively acetic too though. Quite sour, with bubblegum and barnyard aromas coming right out. Saisony subtleties killed beneath the wild. Feels too rough, unbalanced, not bad though. Average for me.
