330ml can. Pours orangey brown with a small head. Aroma is sticky toffee, caramel and burnt sugar. Taste has caramel to start and a brown sugar and toffee apple finish.

Can, bb 3/25. Deep clear amber with a scant coat of pale beige head. Aroma is slightly boozy with strong bread, prunes, spices, grapes. Medium bodied. Not all that sweet with a little vinegar toffee hint of sourness. Prunes and plums with bread, grapes, caramel, spicy bitterness. I winder whether it will dry out further.

Clear reddish brown beer thin off white head. Slightly boozy smell.of caramel and dried fruit. There's booziness in the flavour too, with caramel, apple raisins, some citrus. A little burn on the tongue and a bittersweet finish. This is nice but not as special as I expected from this brewer.

Nice! Plenty of caramel/toffee/pumpernickel malts and dried dark fruits. Hint volatile in the bitterness. Will but another one or two and age...

Can. Hazy dark amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dryz decent fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, a little caramel and cream. A promising start then, but it's rapidly waylaid by a fair dose of esters. A little dried fruits and ripe fruits. Smooth finish. Much too estery for me, a barleywine should be rich mature. Not naïve and annoying.
