Rocky beige head left a spotty cover on a still black body. Nutty, malt & cereal aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & creamy with a clean back. Liquorice, malt, cereal, toffee & nutty tastes with a nicely fruited finish. Great Stout.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby Pours a very dark reddish brown with a small beige head and good lacing. Exudes a slight aroma of chocolate, but in the mouth the dominant taste is dark fruits, together with liquorice, and rye bread. Has a slightly smoky texture, with the finish being smoky and fruity. Rather nice.

Malt-driven flavours of chocolate, dark bread and liquorice followed by a roasted finish. Pleasant stout version. (Lincoln 30.01.2020).
