Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff jan-15: kort storboblet skum over en mørk rubinrød øl med en portvinsaktig aroma og smak, drapert i en slank og elegant kappe av maltsødme og humlebitterhet. Stor drikkeglede i 5,2%.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours copper brown with small head. Aroma of caramel, some coffee - reminds me to Karo Kaffee, a German malt coffee. Sweet, but no heavy malt body. Almost dry, fruity finish, with a nicely balancing bitterness. Very drinkable.

Cask at Town Street Tavern, Horsforth. Pours a dark reddish brown with a tight white head. Very fruity aroma, red fruit, plum, cooked cherry, that sort of thing. Biscuity malts and toffee too. Slightly sweet finish, but a nice beer.

Bottle. Hazy brown appearance, very small foamy whitish head, fruity aroma, sweet watery taste reminiscent of molasses, low carbonation, abrupt finish. Disappointing beer.
