A German style Festbier – tasty, full-bodied and delicately malty-mild. Created by our brewmasters to enjoy the traditional German beer festival atmosphere. A very special malt composition, including Pilsner Malt, Münchner Malt and light Caramel Malt, accounts for its fine color and smooth body. Additionally, the beer is refined with Bitburger’s proprietary and unique hop blend called ‘Siegelhopfen’ (seal hops), which is sourced from a farm just a few minutes from the brewery. This drinkable 6.2% ABV full-bodied beer is the perfect marriage of hops and malt with a slightly sweet backbone, while finishing dry.

Bottle at home. Pours orangeish copper with an off-white head. Nose is orange jam, grains, hay and a gentle earthy touch. Taste is moderately sweet, showing grains, hay, light herbal and citric notes, but a tad less intense than the aroma was. Also, it’s slightly lacking body-wise. Other than this, this is surprisingly alright.

Nice copper color. Medium foamy head. Nice caramel nose. Rich deep melanoidin malt flavors. Medium bodied, semi-sweet. Excellent festbier - and i know SN collab'd with them a few years ago so I'm curious to try this side by side with that, but that is not to be, given it was maybe 3 years ago?

330ml bottle; BB 19th May 2022. My third beer in a mini O'fest tasting session with myself while in California at my daughters. Poured into an old Aying Brau glass tankard it had a misty amber body, off-white crown that soon turned into a wisp and collar with some lacing. This is by far the most bitter and 'almost' hoppy beer of the three. It's got plenty of caramel maltiness just like the style should have, but I've never had an O'fest beer so bitter and hoppy (not that I've had hundreds of them, although I've been to 9 Munich Oktoberfest's, etc, etc).
