Strong blond winterbeer that matured for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brewing experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name all that time. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brewing slave, drank too many Tsjeeses’s. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse.
We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

Old rating - A 330ml bottle I collected from the brewery in 2015 & cellared since. Pours a dark brown with a off white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, spice, raisins & dark malts. Still a very tasty beer even 5 years old & in the summer

From tap at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam. Aroma is malt, lots of caramel, nuts, dried fruits, raisins, mild spicy and sugary notes. Flavour is quite sweet and a bit sticky. Body is above medium. Rich and sweet tasty Belgian strong ale.

0.33 l bottle from 'Dranken Geers', 2015 vintage, best before July 2020, cellared for more than a year. Minimally hazy, ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of raisins, figs, strawberry jam and some caramel. Quite sweet, malty, fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy taste of figs, raisins, plums, strawberry jam, some caramel and a touch of alcohol, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy, rather warming and a bit boozy finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Warming and saturating BSA, quite on the fruity side, a bit too boozy maybe, but overall a tasty and pleasant Christmas beer.

Bottle from Deli Belge, Sowerby Bridge. Dark amber with a small head. Has lots of strength, but there’s some decent Belgian yeasts to be found here in generally a darker malt brew. 637315
