My last bottle of Casey, oh well it looks like it’ll suit the brutal Kyoto Summer so there’s no time like the present. Pouring a very attractive cloudy straw gold with a foamy eggshell-white head of foam that leaves spotty lacing behind. The aroma is bretty funk, wheat, lemon, white pepper, mild oak and hints of pineapple though that may be because of the description I read of this beer. It’s got a soft round carbonation and a fluffy mouthfeel but finishes nice & tart while drinking light - a neat trick. This is the third blonde funky beer I’ve had recently (De Ranke Hop Harvest 2015, Yamabushi Hop & Brett) and I gotta say this is one of my favorites though it’s also the only sour of the bunch. It tastes great: wheat, tangy pineapple, candy sweet tarts, white pepper and it fits the heat perfectly leading me to down my first glass in record time.

Bottle thanks to adneilsen! Pours hazy golden, small white head, good lacing. I expected a lot from this baby cause it combines two things I love - Brett and Citra. Aroma tells me that it is not going to disappoint; lovely citrus, passionfruit, dankness, pot, lots of Brett, barnyard and damp basements. Flavor is very light sweet going quickly to dry, funky with some nice oak accents to the Brett and citrus dance going on in my mouth. Medium body, and a minerally mouthfeel; kind of reminiscent of Hill Farmstead. High quality beverage here.

Bottle shared during the first Late Nite session of RBWG 2015. Pours cloudy yellow with a foamy white head. Strong tangerine and melon aroma, light funky undertones. Light sweet flavor, lots of funk notes, slight brett, melon, tangerine, lemon. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with notes of poo, melon, dry peach, slight hay, pale bread. Very nice.
