Each year, we try to top ourselves by making the hoppiest, most intense IPA we can muster. We sample endless hop varieties during the annual harvest to choose the ultimate mix—flavorful and aggressive, yet refined. Then we push them beyond their limits to reimagine Hoptimum, a remarkably drinkable triple IPA.

(Bottle) Dark reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy tan head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, bread, treacle toffee, honey, apricots, spices and dried apples. Malty, hoppy, spicy taste with notes of citrus peel, bread, maple syrup, dried apple slices, grapefruit peel, resin and a solid citric/piney bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, quite sweet. Rich and hoppy, quite bitter, with a solid malt backbone. Very nice.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. 2020 edition. Aroma is resinous hop with lots of pine resin, caramel malt, ripe fruits, orange marmalade, some floral notes. Pronounced bittersweet flavour. Body is medium to full with a sticky feel. Heavy with a firm resinous hop aroma.

Brunoransje klar hvitt skum. Lukter lys karamell og urter. Fyldig. Smaker fløtekaramell, urter og granskudd. Middels lang.

Clear orange golden color with a big thick frothy off white head that leaves a fine lacing. Rich balanced grapefruit hoppy and mild tropical fruity. Slightly sweet, and a fine balanced bitterness. Average carbonation level and an oily texture. Solid grapefruit hoppy, tropical fruity and a deep malty back. Pleasant and tasty DIPA. Rich taste without being an overkill. Ich habe gar nicht gewusst, dass das Hoptimum der Sierra Nevada Brauerei immer weiter entwickelt wurde. Ich habe 2018 bereits jene Version getrunken und jetzt kommt Nr. 2020. Es ist brutal hopfig und dementsprechend bitter -mir persönlich zu viel. Aber da es für amerikanische Hopheads gedacht ist, halte ich es für ok. Sehr aromatisch intensiv, aber nicht so wirklich harmonisch.

Poured a clear orange with a medium sized very slightly off-white head. Aroma was malt, citrus, grapefruit, floral notes. Flavor was hoppy, pine notes with a nice malt backbone. Alcohol is there, but it's pretty well integrated.

Hazy orange to amber colour, medium sized dense beige-ish off-white head ; aroma of pine resins, grapefruit, dried apricot and biscuity notes; perfectly balanced bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma and with some spicy alcoholic aftertaste ; excellent one

Bottle, 7.5 months after packaging. Pours an amost clear amber colour and a big blanket of off-white foam that remains until the end. Aroma's of soft tropical fruit, fruit candies, malts. Retronasal there'slots of fruit and additional resin and some malt. Flavour is modeate sweet light moderate bitter. Warming alcohol. Long finish, moderate bitter. One day I will have an ultra fresh bottle.
