Das leckere Biergebräu wird nun wieder jedes Jahr im März gebraut, damit wir es rechtzeitig zum Tag des Bieres am 21. April am Felsenkeller anstechen können. Es überzeugt durch seine kräftig-dunkle Farbe und seinen herausragenden Malzgeschmack. Eine ausgewogene Hopfenbittere unterstützt die leichte Süße.

Dark amber colour, frothy head that stays long. Aroma is toast, herbal hops, caramel. Medium bitterness, light sweetness. Good!

500ml Bottle - Copper red with a foamy head. Rye, raisins, sultanas and caramel in the aroma. Malty and slightly nutty taste with chestnuts, caramel and raisins standing out.

€-Fläschla: Clear, copper coloured with a ruby sheen, smaller creamy off-white head; drier bitter-sweet bready-toasty nose with some rural spots: moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; dry and lingering bitter-sweet finish with chocolatey traces. Very unusual, pretty good, a real franconian "Kraft-Bier"...

(bottle) Clear, copper colour with a loose and mid-sized, slightly tanned foamy head. Slightly toasted malty nose with caramel, traces of treacle and a mildly earthy and herbal hoppy background. Mildly bitter and delicately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry and slightly mineralic toasty malt character with notes of caramel and present herbal and earthy hops; dry and bitter-sweeet finish with caramel, earthy and toasty notes. Decent Franconian quality. 10.VI.18

“Huppendorfer Bier Märzen“, Flasche (50 cl) vom Landbierparadies, Nürnberg. - Dunkles Kupferrot, klar. - In der Nase mildes Toastmalz mit zart rauchiger Note und hintergründige Hopfenherbe mit Orangenschale und Moos. - Antrunk füllig toastmalzig und schön malzbitter mit knapper Karamelsüße, Kakao, zarter Räuchernote und ganz zarter fruchtiger Säure (Kirsche). Perfekt abgestimmte, milde aber aromatische Herbe mit Orangenschale. Milder rezent, vollmundig, leicht mineralisch, weich im Mund. Elegant malzbitterer Abgang mit dezenter zitrusfruchtig-pfeffriger Herbe. - Sehr individuell gestaltetes Märzen, unbedingt probierenswert!

Mal eine ungewohnte Huppendorfer Flasche, der Kronkorken weißt auf 500 Jahre Reinheitsgebot hin - eine Retro-Edition? Im Glas schönes Rot, toller Schaum. In der Nase malzig-süß. Im Trunk herbes Malz, cremig, hintenweg wird’s nochmal getreidig. Leichte Süße, nur einen Hauch bitter. Süffig, lecker, Märzen eben, wie es sein muss. Sauberes Bierchen!
