Post modern classic reimagined.

The UK’s favourite craft beer – the beer that started it all – gets ramped up to 8.2% for a relentlessly hoppy onslaught that balances a light malt backbone with a citrus-forward and super pithy delivery. Expect plenty of bitterness from the heavy-handed hopping, and a clear golden appearance that invites you in with aromas of grapefruit and zesty fruits.

Double Punk, Double the fun.

440ml can from Beer & Drinks in Moscow. BrewDog claimed to have stopped selling and shipping their beer to Russia in late February 2022, but this is canned in May 2022. Pours opaque gold with a thin white head. Aroma is grapefruit, pale malt, pith, piney. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, orange, resin. Medium to heavy bitter finish.

On tap at Brewdog Doghouse Manchester, pours a hazy bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of dank hops, pine, and some biscuit malt — really dank. Flavour is wonderfully dank in the hop department, citrus zest, and just enough sweet biscuity malt to back. Great hop character and balance. Excellent west coast DIPA here.

2nd July 2022
Can. Mild to medium haze on this orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Light malts, flirting with thin, but a decent malt creamy sweetness. Hops, whatever they may be, bring a crisp pine and a mild but persistent nibbly hop spice. Light but reasonably bright citrus backed by a mild undertone of tropical fruits. Modest savoury skunk on the back end. A pretty easy drinking dipa frankly and it's good to know that this once great brewery haven't completely lost the plot. A little more hop fruit intensity would make this even better of course.

(Can) Pours hazy amber with small white head. Pretty subtle aroma with notes of citrus and pine and hints of candy and toffee. Medium body with some stickiness and fine bright carbonation. Rich full flavour with a nice balance. There’s a toffee sweetness set against some nice hoppy bitterness, the latter steadily taking over in the finish. There’s a bit of citrus fruitiness at the start that lingers but steadily diminishes. Very nice.

Can from Asda. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Aroma of sharp citrus fruit, grassy hops, some pine and a hint of funk. Flavour had more grapefruit and tangerine character, green herbs, slightly chewy and sweet malts. Finish was big with some rather raw alcohol and a drying edge. Enjoyable.

Got this in an advent calendar, big thanks to my youngest daughter. Drank this right out of the can, so what about the color? I assume it's a slightly hazy pale brew like stated earlier. I drank a big swig of this and immediately it made my taste buds go numb. Yes, this is balderdash, rude bitter, pretty annoying. So fricken annoying. Big blasting super natural totally bloody meal. So what, its just another bitchen bastard straight up rude ass IPA. There you have it. Viscous and mouth coating finish, as usual.
