Initially brewed at Banks’s by Devil’s Backbone’s head brewer, Jason Oliver, in September 2014, then contract brewed by Banks’s for Devil’s Backbone. Exclusive to Wetherspoon’s pub chain.

Ingredients: A mix of English (East Kent Goldings and Admiral) and American hops added late in the process. Single-infusion mash of Pale Ale malt, fermented in open vats.

Creamy, frothy white head stayed on a dark amber coloured effervescent body. Malt & pine aroma. Medium bodied, smooth over the tongue & a cloying back. Pine, cattiness, heavy malt & caramel. JDW's use to sell this on draught but only in bottles now. I was wary when I saw Marston's on the label..... Nice intro into Craft beers....

Bottle at JDW’s Windmill at stansted airport. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of hop, light citrus and tropical fruit, malt, floral and caramel. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Light to medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Only ok.

Draught @ Beehive, LGW. Sweetish and caramely malty IPA with hints of hops and pine. Doesn’t feel very fresh.

Slightly hazy yellow color, small steady white head. Aroma has grapefruit and lemon peels. Light to medium-bodied. Grapefruity, pale malty flavor. It’s all grapefruit. Nice.

Utseende: Mørk gyllen.
Skum/kullsyre: Kremet skum, heng langs kant.
Smak: Syrlige frukter, noe bitter avslutning.
Hvor: Moon on the Square, Feltham.

Tap @ The Lord Moon of the Mall, London. Clear dark golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - citrus. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 230316

Fra keg på Three John Scotts Hull 26 Nov 15. Gyldenbrun. Lavt tett skum. Tynn teppelacing. God fruktaroma. Plommer. Smaken forsiktig. Fin balanse mellom malt & frukt. Avslutter tørt & litt bittert.

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, grapefruity and peachy hoppy. Smooth fruity, peachy, mango and citrusy. Light herbal dry. Bitter and crisp hoppy finish.
