Following the introduction of the bottom-fermented brewing process in the mid-19th century, a new beer type became popular and shaped the consumption habits of beer drinkers. The fresh, pale brew with its mildly hoppy flavour became one of the star products of its age. That is why Dortmunder style is considered a milestone in the development of beer culture in the world and became a synonym for superior quality. DAB Dortmunder Export is the finest example of the special bottom-fermented blond lager. It is a harmoniously balanced, crisp and easy-to-drink beer with pleasingly gentle notes of hops and malt. A very well-rounded taste profile with a soft and elegant texture.

Smell- wqeak malt, citrus, hops. Foam- thin, weak hops, weak hops, bitterness. Head is quite large, white in color. Appearance- simple can. From - pint Price - 1.29 for 0.5l Taste- malt, hops, citrus. Weak bitter aftertaste. All would be great if it would not feel bit metallic and with faint faint alcohol notes in the back. Overall still fine macro.

Well I never. It’s a tick. Can. £1.20 from the local everything including UPS pick up shop. Result. Whatever. Clear gold. Decent white foam. A bit of cereal and corn here. Not totally clean like I was hoping for. Hoppage is quite grassy and privet leaf like. Drinks reasonably well despite a bit of a cardboard thing. Gets pretty bitter on the finish.

Can. Deep gold colour, with a head that dissipates fairly quickly. There's a fair bit of bready malt on the aroma, maybe a bit of acetaldehyde but it's light. On the palate, it's similar. That little bit of extra bready malt to highlight the style, but again a sort of tartness that speaks to more industrial production. Good enough as industrial lagers go.

Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Can from Beers of Eruope.

0.5l can. Pale yellow body with a thin but lasting white head. Aroma of hay and sugar syrup with a decent amount of spicy hops and some pears. Taste of bready, grainy malts, sugar syrup and some spicy hops. The taste could use a bit more hops, but still a correct beer.
