Following the introduction of the bottom-fermented brewing process in the mid-19th century, a new beer type became popular and shaped the consumption habits of beer drinkers. The fresh, pale brew with its mildly hoppy flavour became one of the star products of its age. That is why Dortmunder style is considered a milestone in the development of beer culture in the world and became a synonym for superior quality. DAB Dortmunder Export is the finest example of the special bottom-fermented blond lager. It is a harmoniously balanced, crisp and easy-to-drink beer with pleasingly gentle notes of hops and malt. A very well-rounded taste profile with a soft and elegant texture.

Can. pale gold with a white head thatβs soon gone. Hay, herbs, light bread, a little honey. Sweet with light bready malt, moderate herbal bitter finish. Uneventful, nice enough.

Clear golden with minimal head. Not much of anything in aroma or taste. Very light beer. Some hay and grass with some sweet honey/caramel but thatβs it.

Bottle at home, done from memory, rating is just for my own. I will edit if I drink it again, decent beer, nothing worth to mention.

I would say that it is practically the same as the original version. golden colour, quickly disappearing head, correct bitterness with a bit too much corn-like sweetness; costs too much

Can. Very pale yellow color, small white foamy head, doughy yeast aroma, bitter taste, astringent finish with metallic aftertaste. Not very interesting.

This one poured a clear light yellow colour with bright white, spore like head. Scents include corn, barley and a light egg scent. First sip was thin with flavours of corn, barley grains and grass. Finish was lightly hoppy with a medium bitter palate.

Canned, 0.5l. Clear golden color with large frothy white head and very nice lacing. Aroma of grainy malt, grassy hops, floral hints and with touch of light vanilla. Taste starts with sweet and warm maltiness and touch of a honey. Following is crisp, but not on a dry side. Mouthfeel is quite sticky, but still something missing, a bit too plain. Taste finishes with lightly lingering bitterness. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Pretty well helles...
