A full bodied London style Porter using a silly amount of oats & chocolate malt in the mash to create a lovely roasted coco flavour for the tangy First Gold & Sorachi Ace hops to mingle with. Hints of vanilla, spice and orange.

Bottle from a shop in Castleton, Derbyshire [160615]
Black, very thin tan head
Aroma of roasted malts, soft coffee notes, some dark sweet malts, dark chocolate sponge
Taste of dark malts, quite sweet, mellow roast, soft dark plain chocolate, slight burnt note
Palate - Almost flat, medium to thin body, bit thin due to lack of carbonation, smooth palate, soft sweet. Finish - quite dry at first then soft sweet dark malts in linger.
Overall - Good flavours, but let down as the beer was almost flat in the bottle.

4.8 Cask at the bow bar. Pours clear dark brown, red chinks, thin beige head. Aromas of dark chocolate, light roast. Taste is more chocolate, roasted bitterness. Light sweet finish, creamy texture to match, thin on the finish though.
