500ml bottle in my garden on 22nd Sep 2016. Slight haze to the amber body, fast fading off-white head. Woody, caramel and vanilla esters/flavours throughout. Fairly sweet, my sweet tooth liking the brew a lot.

Bottle from Bradwell Village Shop. Appearance - clear amber, with a slim head. Nose - toffee, wood. Taste - toffee, wood and light vanilla. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - this grew on me, as I went down the bottle.

Shared bottle at ExABC, thanks to deanso! Clear dark amber/brownish with thin creme head. Sweet caramel malts, roasted, toasted, woodchip and "flower petal parfume"-ness, light spices, curry, still kinda watery. Light sweet, light bitter. No carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of St Bernard on 21 Nov 2017 at 15:38 - Score: 7. Original review text: 3.4

Bottle shared thanks to deanso. Clear reddish brown with bubbly beige head. Looks nice. Vanilla, lots of spices and wood, caramel, sugary, dry grains, lots of scotch whisky and bourbon notes. Light sweet and bitter. Light bodied and very light carbonation. "Lightly Oakes", well, I’m interested in what they would call heavy oaked, this has massive oak notes. Not bad at all.

On cask at 41st Steel City Beer Festival - Reddish brown body, solid holding white head. Nose is caramel and buttery, a bit of a Werthers original sort of aroma. Taste has a mild hoppiness to it, but is sweetened off with the vanilla biscuit thing going on. Nice really.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol July 2015. Deep amber with a slight, off-white, head. Sweetish, Malty beer with a hint of red fruit and a moderately bitter finish. Ok.
