O’zapft is! Auf die Freundschaft!

Wunderbar dichte, feinporige Schaumkrone. Malzig-getreidig, kernig-würzig, vollmundig, ein wenig Süße, zurückhaltender Hopfen. Sehr stimmig.

500ml bottle: BB 14th February 2025, from Lidl (UK) O'Fest 12 pack. Drank at home on 22nd November 2024. Clear and clean golden body, white crust. It's an OK Fest Bier, not too sweet or malty, not too bitter or hoppy, nice, easy going blend without overdoing anything.

Light with a golden hue. White, medium foam. Malt, grain, wet straw and light honey. Light herbs in the background. Low carbonation, sweet with an oily texture.

Bottle from the Lidl box. Clear golden with a solid white cap. Bready and zesty with a little caramel and malt. Flavour has caramel, some lemon, a bit of sweet malt, biscuit, a little hop. Not desperately exciting but it's crisp and fresh with just a bit of sweetness and super drinkable.

Bottle from the Lidl fest box. It pours clear hay yellow with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is bready, cakey malt, bitter - sweet, nutty, cereal, grass, touch of orchard fruit and some marmalade sandwiches. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, bitter - sweet, toasted nut, digestive biscuits cakey malts, doughy white bread, toasted nut, cereal, orchard fruits, grassy, leafy and some spice with a drying finale. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Decent.

50cl Fles van LIDL. Helder goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Zoet, moutig, honing, rode appel, licht grassig, degelijk bitter. Lichte body, glad mondgevoel. Bijna saai, maar zo goed gemaakt dat het me erg goed smaakte.
