Bottle. 3F online. Who’d have thunk it? Pours a hazed, copper gold. Fine white head is fully lasting, and semi lacing. Sat in a Zenne glass, it looks the business. Nose has dried peel. Wood shavings. Dried, floral herb. Suede. Soft, musty funk. Caramelised nuts. It smells like being sat at 3F, really. Taste is tart, and a little dry, with soft, nutty sweetness. Definitely some fruity bitterness here. It’s all there, and really well balanced. Some sharpness on the palate. Stays smooth and fairly rich. Bright carbonation. Tart and sharp fruit on the finish, with the sherry nuttiness keeping it all in check. Beautiful.
Yum

Bottled 31/1/2018. After nearly 5 years in the bottle, time to drink this. Turned out to be a lovely and well aged gueuze. Lightly acidic, but not sharp, real oaky, and tons of nice funkyness. The barrels show in a bit of soft fruityness. Damn nice.

Part 2 of the great Zenne Y Frontera tasting. Descriptions limited to the differences.
All batches same colour, save for Solera (Batch 2): No head, peachy-orange veiled beer. Way sharper nose, gooseberry, bit of acetic acid. Taste is sweeter, somewhat I malser /I , unripe peach flavour. Sharp MF, acidthinning and a lot of acidburn. Better carbonated than #3.

75cl bottle @ Tilquin admin gathering, merci Pierre. Vertical with Blend # 20, 21, 49 & 50.
Palais est sour citrique marqué, barrique de Sherry pas mal en retrait, sûrement le plus qu les 3 autres versions;
