From tap at the brewpub in Amsterdam 23.10.21. 2018 edition. Dark brown. Pale brown head. Excellently balanced aroma and taste of chocolate, dark caramel, blackcurrants, ripe plums, plum jan and roasted malt. Good!

Tap, Café De Beiaard Enschede. Served cold so the aroma is a bit indifferent. The flavor is not, however. Caramel at first, followed by a fair deal of roasted malt. Relatively dry. Butter and a hint of diacetyl. Certainly not bad.

150ml on tap, outside at De Brabantse Aap.. Deep dark brown body, patchy beige surface, fair lacing. Inviting aromas of dark fruits and roasted malts. Blended taste of nuts, caramel and dark fruits, very lightly spiced. Roasted malty ending. Easy to drink, easy to like. (Amsterdam 09.03.2018).

Draught@De Bekeerde Suster, Amsterdam, served in a small tulip glass. Clear deep ruby brown colour, small frothy beige head, mostly diminishing, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malts, dark fruits, candy sugar, caramel. Taste light heavy sweet and medium bitter, malty, dark fruits. Sweetbitter aftertaste, roasty notes, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, very nice bock.

0.15 l on tap at De Bekeerde Suster, 6.5% abv. Clear, dark reddish amber with a creamy, tan head. Faint, sweetish-malty aroma of brown sugar, caramel and some coffee. Sweetish-malty taste of brown sugar, caramel and nuts, followed by a medium long, roasty and slightly bitter finish with some coffee. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, almost flat. Nice bock, easily drinkable.
